Copy paste the command below into it, then press Enter Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth Once DISM has finished running ... If DISM completes without error .... try updating your computer. If DISM fails to complete successfully, or if you're still unable to update Please attach your ... C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log ... to your next reply. Name this file ComponentBasedServicing (with no file extension) and save it to your Desktop. Right-click on the saved file and choose Send To -> Compressed (zipped) Folder. Note: since there was a pending reboot for the (eventually failed) update, I rebooted and let that process complete before running this step. I assume that's correct but please let me know if not.
