No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it. Save any open documents and close all open windows. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. SFCFix will now process the script. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text. B brinox Well-known member Joined Oct 3, 2019 Posts 138 Location Germany Oct 13, 2019 #91 No, the directory C:\Windows\CbsTemp is empty after a reboot. When trying the update again, there is only the directory C:\Windows\CbsTemp\30769568_1235827341 present, not the one you mentioned. Inside that directory, the file Windows10.0-KB4517389-x64.cab is present.

B brinox Well-known member Joined Oct 3, 2019 Posts 138 Location Germany Oct 13, 2019 #93 I had to copy the manifest file while installing the update, because the numeric directory inside C:\Windows\CbsTemp is different on each try. I did that at the very beginning of the process, you should see that in the ProcMon log. The updates process took a quite long time (about 7 minutes), however, it still fails with error 0x800f081f. The ProcMon log is quite big on this one. Attachments CBS.7z 3.3 MB · Views: 0
