Windows 10 Drivers Not Updating

I have just recently noticed in Windows Update that my drivers are not updating and they all show an error message 800703E3. I then tried to install a driver (Nvidia) using Device Manager but it failed with the error message "configuration Registry Database Corrupt" After that I went on to the NVIDIA website and tried to install the driver from there but after removing the old drivers it failed during the installation of the new updated driver - no error message was given.

Running DISM and SFC did not detect any corruption but did n ot solve the Update problem. I have attached the requested files as well as snapshots of the Update drivers that failed and the windows version data. I have also included a copy of the Drivers file form the system32/config folder.

I really don't want to have to reset my Windows 10 installation as this would require me to re-install all my programs.

Hope you can assist me in solving this issue!

Apologies for the delay!

Step 1 - Replace Drivers Hive Manually

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

1. Download DRIVERS.ZIP and save to your desktop.
2. Right-click on it and select Extract all.... Make sure the "Show extracted files when complete" is checked and click Extract.
3. Now we have the DRIVERS file that we will be using to replace your current one.
4. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config
5. Right-click on the current DRIVERS file and select rename. Rename it to DRIVERS.bad.
   Note: If you get an error that the file is in use, reboot your computer and then try again.
6. Take the file from the Drivers folder on your desktop and paste it into C:\Windows\System32\config

All should work now.
