So i've been running into some trouble with this pc for ever now but always managed to fix it. But recently i've encounted bad image errors and dll missing errors, worst of all though is that i have been getting errors for windows firewall? When i launch a new app/software it would usually prompt up the usual "This app is trying to access the internet" and then gives me the option for a public network or private, but now it just gives me a error.. usually saying that its missing firewall.dll? Something along those lines. And then if i open the new app for the second time it will give me the bad image error but still works fine. No more errors after that. Anyways im not super knowledgeable about the inner functions of windows and its ever growing list of system commands but i would love some help! Been stuck like this for months trying to fix it but never found the right community/source i can rely on so im giving you guys a shot. As required here are my cbs files and error(s) i can recreate. (This also effects my windows 10 updates, never get them anymore..They are always stuck on install and if they make it past that, they just stop and ask to retry)
I'd recommend you test your HDD with GSmartControl:
GSmartControl
Follow the instructions below to check your SMART status with GSmartControl:
Download the portable version of GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
Extract the zip file to your Desktop. Open the folder gsmartcontrol-1.1.3-win64 which should be located on your Desktop and double-click gsmartcontrol.exe to launch the program.
Identify your drive in the list (if recognized by the tool), and hover your mouse over it.
You should see something called: SMART status. It will either read: Enabled, in which case you should do the following:
Double-click on it to bring up its window (usually you'll find your drive by its size or its brand name);
Go to the Self-Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply or take a screenshot;
Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply;
Please note: If the SMART Status reads: Unsupported, stop and let me know.
