Hello,

I've several dozen computers, all seemingly having CBS store corruption, which is causing an CU update to fail, and this has been happening for about 3 months now. I've ran the typical sfc, dism commands, to no avail. I've uploaded the CBS logs and componentsscanner.log files. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Terry

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download
56f31e53c97da-SFCFix.PNG
SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Unfortunately, the local site IT reimaged the pc rather than continue troubleshooting. I do have other machines...many many other machines, with a similar issue. I guess I'll start a new thread with new logs for one of those. thank you for your effort!

Hi,

Thanks for letting us know this system is repaired from a (bare) image.

I guess I'll start a new thread with new logs for one of those.

Yes, please start a new thread for the other system(s) and provide the files requested in the Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions. Please use an unique suffx in the thread tile [PC1], [PC2] for each thread to avoid any confusion.

I will mark this thread as solved then...
