HI,
I am a new member and this is my first post. Please forgive me if this is not the right place to report a problem.
I am currently running Windows 10 TP on MSI-Z77 MB/16GB RAM/Samsung SSD 840 EVO and I have a problem running SFC
on a fresh install + Windows Updates + Net Framework 3.5, nothing else is installed but SFC is failing on multiple runs and cannot be repaired. DISM reports no problem.

With the same hardware, I have no problem with Windows 8.1 Pro so it eliminates any kind of Hardware problems. I also re-install Windows 10 at least 5 times on the SSD and also on another regular mechanical HD and still no go.

Below is the attachement with both short and full CBS.log. Much appreciated if somebody can shred the light of what's going on ?

Hi,

I've moved your thread from the discussion forum to its own thread.

Hello pappilon and welcome to Sysnative forums.

The error's being detected by SFC are unfortunately the same ones that were detected on my System after a clean install of Windows 10 too. When I installed the Windows 10 image one a Virtual Machine the corruptions were present. Then I downloaded another copy of the trial and installed it on an old computer, same files were identified.

Take a look at the highlighted parts in red (file cannot be decompressed) this is an error message that is still being looked into on how to fix. This issue can be fixed sometimes by replacing a copy of the file with a non corrupt version, but the issue here is I have no files that I can give you that are not corrupt.

As you signed up for the technical preview what I recommend is that you report this issue to Microsoft. At this stage, I am sorry to say that there is no answer that I can give you in regards to fixing this issue. Its something that we (here at sysnative) are looking into. Once we find out something I will get back to you.

Hello Alex,
Thanks for the warm welcome and your assistance.
It's good to hear that I am not the only one to have this problem and yes, I'll report this to MS.
Besides this SFC problem. Windows 10 seems to work flawlessly and a little snappier than Windows 8.1.

Again, thank you.

A known problem in TP making SFC somewhat useless. Said to be addressed in the next release but I do not think before then
