Windows 10 21H2 to Windows 11 23h2 In Place upgrade - Task Sequence Error

Hello,

I am looking for some possible help regarding trying to perform an In Place Upgrade VIA SCCM from Windows 10 21H2 to Windows 11 23H2 and noticed during the compatibility check, the task sequence hangs and results in the following errors from the setuperr.log:

any help would be appreciated as I have looked at some previous threads and could not seem to find any remedies so far. Please note that I was able to successfully MDT the same machine with no issues & The compatData.xml shows nothing being blocked. Thanks in advance.

Personally, i've never had luck going from 21H2 to 11. I've always deployed the enablement package for 10 22h2, then, the most recent Windows servicing package Windows 11, version 23h2 x64 2024-02B

I am also a lover of all things ConfigMan! Before we get too deep in the troubleshooting, I have a couple of questions.

What version of ConfigMan / SCCM / MECM / MCM is your environment running?

What part of task sequence fails?

What other steps do you have in your task sequence?

What is your use case for task sequences to upgrade vs just utilizing the windows 11 upgrades found in windows servicing?
