Hi, Why some of my previous posts are not shown in my profile. I asked and got clarifications and solutions from your experts. But on perusing the same , i found that it is not listed in my profile. Where could i see those? Are those are archived? or were those deleted . If archived, how to access ?

No, I mean my threads in 2014, where you did help me in fixing.
Thanks for jet speed reply.
If suppose one have fixes from you for the missing or corrupted files in sfc check . If suppose, if he installs thro the same dvd, would the same missing or corrupt occurs. Or would it be different? Since it checks the integrity check of the same files, and is the same source of installation, say thro usb drive?
Would those fixes provided for the same OS, work for one? I assume here, that the source is the same, and so the same sfc errors and so the same solutions pl explain.
Anyhow, if any problem crops up, you are there to help.
I ask this because, you mention about specific fix for specific user for specific OS and system.
Now one of my pc , has three missings, which are listed below

I am using windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
problem in having cyclic redundancy check while installaing sp 1.
I will raise separate topic on that

That must have been on a different account. I see this one was registered in Aug 2017. For each new corruption a certified analiyst should be consulted because inexperience can lead to disasterus consequences.

Please see the above post, which i already edited which lists three issues
One more query: This will also help other users . You are kind enough to give replies to my lengthy clarificaions sought.
Would any corruption in sfc /scan would definitely need fixes

Hi, for your information, i tried to install service pack 1, which is not installing due to some errors. At last, i was given the option of using windows readiness tool. I scanned my system and found some errors in checksur.log, the points of errors are given. It all suggests entries in avast, which i long use as free antivirus as reliable. Since sfcfix, also show some check sur.log in it's execution, i reproduce the errors for comment and if possible solutions.

Hi, I wish to add that after processing your sfc.zip, the message no integrity violations. Ok. But, why slow loading of explorer in both windows normal mode and safe mode? If i click anything connected to explorer files, it takes minium 5 minutes to process a request.

GSmartControl
Follow the instructions below to test your hard drive health with GSmartControl:

  • Download GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
  • Execute gsmartcontrol.exe; Let the install complete and launch the programme.
  • Identify your drive in the list, and double-click on it to bring up it's window (usually you'll find your drive by it's size or it's brand name);
  • Go in the Perform Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
  • Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply;
  • Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply;

Hi, Thanks . i started the extended test. But , how do we see the progress of the execution. Just saw the approximate time it would take. Is there any clue about the progress. The scan finished with in a few minutes and i think that there is some error in running the applications. The output is given below, which is not tallied. How 500 gb hard drive extended test would finish in a few minutes, less than ten minutes,

Hi, You mean that I have to replace the Hard disk.
Noramlly what is the span of life for hard disk.
Is the power supply, high or low would impact the hard drive? or what it would be the reason for impending failure?
I think , i will save the contents to a ext hard disk and then replace it.
Thanks and expecting clarifications on impending failure of hdd

They usually last somewhere around five years, but it all depends on the model you get. I only use WD Black HDDs because they are the fastest, and have the longest warranty, but they are also the most expensive. And even that is not a guarantee that they will last. SSDs are somewhat safer. HDDs are very low power consumers, so they are definitely okay. I neither know what your components are nor how old they are, so I can't tell you more.
