I created a sfc fix log, here is that log. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I already cleaned out the downloaded windows updates a few months ago, i dont install any updates that have telemetry, and would prefer not to, i can attach a screen of those that are hidden if necessary.

heres the log

I am downloading the system readiness tool also, it has too long for me to wait(49 mins on a very slow connection on this pc) which im only here once a week. Last week i did this, and the computer hibernated before the download finished i guess since it was resumed today with about 8 hours left. now i started a new download and it says 49 mins, so we will see.

Funny thing is its set to hibernate after 1 day, and never sleep, so i will return next week and again, hopefully, it will be downloaded.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Are you still in need of assistance?

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. Sorry for the delay. Are you still in need of assistance?
Actually yes, thank you.

So yesterday, I got that windows update kb hotfix(windows readiness) installed, nothing improved. Same update still stuck. Thanks for getting back to me.

Also note, almost 2 months ago, I deleted the windows update downloads directory, and rechecked, and downloaded updates, and that didnt help.

Note, the settings are by preference to check and notify only, and only download and update after selected.

Re: win update stuck on kb4019112

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named softwaremaniac. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Hello and welcome!

Step#1 - System Update Readiness Tool (SUR)
1. Please attach the log from the following location. C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to your next post please upload via a service such as Dropbox or One Drive or SendSpace and just provide the link.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Re: win update stuck on kb4019112

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

I am not at the computer at the moment, will be next Sunday.

Please note, that was what i did in the first post. Nothing has changed since except that i installed the system readiness tool, and tried the update again, and it failed again. The log in the first post was the log I created for this thread for you already. Is that not the log you are needing? Also, please note, when i so a sfc /scannow it comes clean.

Regards

Thanks for yuur continued response.

First off,
I noticed that the windows update window looks a bit different by now. Im not sure bit it appears the green check-mark, stating that there is no important updates needed is indeed marking that the system is past the error. I just cant recall exactly what i saw before, not nothing it clearly enough i guess.

I have instead 3 "recommended" updates showing, one is still a roll-up, which seemed to get me in trouble the first time, but i suspect its not the same one that was failing. I would like to install those updates, do i need to wait for this process to finish before i install them? I would rather just try next Sunday when i return, because its been months since I have avoided updating anything because of this issue.

Now, the
Code:
Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64
is installing, I will report back when that's complete.

Ok, that completed, here's the log, thanks again.

Install any offered recommended updates. If any fail, please attach CBS.log

So, you rocked it solid!!
The system now has no more update errors. Thank you very much for this. I was able to update, then this week i came back, and there's 6 more updates. Things are moving forward.

What was the problem in the end specifically? Did the updates get out of sync or something?

IN the end it caused the Microsoft Office to unregister itself. I will have to track down the issue there. Hopefully that wont be too difficult.

Thanks again!

That's great news!

You were missing a couple of manifest and package files that I have manually replaced with clean copies :)

I'll mark this thread as solved! If you have eny more update replated issues, please post back.
