Please zip and attach C:\Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

DSIM is not working. Error 3. The directory C:\Windows does not appear to be a valid Windows directory.Ensure that the /WinDir option that is specified is valid.

And the C:\Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther directory doesn't exist. Cant find it.

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

Sorry about that, the exact path should be C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\
It is a hidden folder that only appears after running Windows 10 setup :)

Looks like Windows 10 setup didn't complete?

Please try running setup and going through the installation until it produces the error message, then zip and attach the log again.

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

It finishes downloading. Then the Verifying download part starts. And near the end it just fails. And I get the error code in the title and nothing else. Every time. Tried it several times. Anyway, started it again. Will have to wait for the download to complete. Why does it download it every time when it's already finished downloading earlier?

I would recommend using the Media Creation Tool here: Download Windows 10
You will need an empty 8GB USB flash drive.

I was wrong. Verification completes too. It stalls mid installation. Also, I tried using the Media Creation Tool earlier, and again just now, but for some reason it doesn't show my Drive at all. I keep refreshing it yet it says: We can't find a USB flash drive. Even though my computer recognizes it. Formatted it too. FAT32 and everything.

New error code just now! For the first time since I've tried to upgrade.

Okay, pending updates. I guess while troubleshooting might have turned the service off and it turned off Automatic Updates. I'll check for updates, install them, and then report again.
Still looking for updates for some reason. And it shows last updated: Never. Which is untrue. Shows several installed updates though. I guess deleting folders during troubleshooting is the cause for this. No idea though. Still waiting for the updates so I can try installing again.

But yes, why is the Media Creation Tool not showing my USB Drive? It's a regular Sandisk Ultra I've always used. Super reliable and always works. No power draw issues either on any PC.

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

Also, I had just a few hours back, used the Windows Update troubleshooter and it had fixed two issues. Don't know why Windows Update was off though.

Another thing. Many people seem to have this issue. Last updates were on 11/27/2015. Nothing after that.
Downloading now though. Loads to download.

Also, is there a way to delete posts? Or do I not have permission to do so?

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

Please continue to download and install all the available Windows Updates, let me know when no new updates are offered.

Re: Windows 10 Installation (Upgrade) fails. Error code 0x8007000d.

Hi! Sorry. I've been trying all night. SO finally I got all the updates. A few failed, downloaded the KBs and manually installed whatever was relevant. Used the ISO I had to make a bootable pen drive just so I wouldn't have to wait for the download at every try. It installs. Then restarts and gets stuck at Getting updates. After that, if I restart my computer, it just rolls back everything. Did a little searching. Installed while offline, disabled the Ethernet adapter, unplugged whatever USB device I could, and it installed! Got the updates after I was finally logged in to Windows 10 :)

Thank you so much for your help and patience man!
