Having trouble installing this update manually or through windows update (WSUS).

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800b0100: Security Update for Windows (KB3126587).

I ran SFCFix.exe and got this output:
Code:
SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.Start time: 2017-06-21 10:06:25.812
Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64
Not using a script file.

I then ran the System Update Readiness tool (Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64.msu) and the logs are in the CBS.zip file attached to this post. The CheckSUR.log shows a few corrupted files but I have no idea how to go about fixing them.

Thank you for any help you can give me with this.

edit: The CheckSUR log is fairly small so I decided to just put it inline here. Hope that's ok.

I did a bit of reading and managed to fix this problem. Manifest files appear to be xml, and after verifying the corrupted manifest file was indeed garbage data I copied a valid amd64_microsoft-windows-ie-lowreg_31bf3856ad364e35_11.2.9600.18059_none_8ad172a1f8cc0479.manifest file from c:\windows\winsxs\manifests on a working system to the following directory on the system with the error:

c:\windows\temp\checksur\manifests

I then copied the *.mum and *.cat files listed in the c:\windows\logs\cbs\checksur.log file from c:\windows\servicing\packages on a working system to the following directory on the system with the error:

c:\windows\temp\checksur\packages

I then ran the windows6.1-kb947821-v34-x64.msu System Update Readiness Tool on the system with the error and it used these valid files to fix the system. This can be confirmed by looking at the new c:\windows\logs\cbs\checksur.log file.

I am now able to install update kb3126587 and things look to be fine now.

This link helped me and hopefully will help others stumbling onto my thread: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2700601/how-to-fix-errors-found-in-the-checksur.log

I'm marking this thread as solved, hopefully it'll help someone.
