Hi, first time here.

I left my PC Win7 64Bit (Home) for about a year without updating it. (yeah I know bad; but one of their updates caused me a lot of grief and I shut off updates in anger).

Anyways, here I am and trying to get updated. After many hours of updates there are many KBs that fail with error 80073712. I tried many suggestions but with no success. I found this forum and thought I would give it a go.

I have followed the instructions :
(1) sfc /scannow ... updates cbs log
(2) sfcfix ... creates SFCFix log.

Also, when prompted to insert my Window disk ... I did but appears that SFCFix did not perform any additional operations?

Attached 2 files ... CBS.zip and SFCFix.txt
Appreciate any assistance.

Thanks, Bunker008

FYI, I ran the sfcfix cmd again (this time with windows disk inserted)

Thanks. I need your COMPONENTS hive to identify some of these updates. Please do the following.

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to SendSpace and just provide the link here.

That worked. Here's your next batch. Please do the following.

Just verified it went correctly so yes please. Thanks. If you could run it twice and then post the log after the second time it would be helpful. Easier to read.
