System: Win7 Pro SP1 x64

These have been consistently failing:
2018-06 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4284826)
Error details: Code 80070005
2018-05 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4103718)
Error details: Code 800F0826
2018-05 Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows7 for x64-based Systems (KB4103713)
Error details: Code 80070005

My inspection of the logs suggests that corrupt System.Management.dll files are causing the updates to fail.

CBS.log shows a couple of the System.Management.dll files are corrupted.

Compressed CBS folder is 92 MB

I've never registered for a file sharing service and prefer to avoid it.

Can I trim anything out to still get what you need from this (such as obviously the deepclean and filterlist, any of the the .cab files)? Are the log files sufficient?

2016-07-19 11:04 AM 370 FilterList.log

I uploaded the three logs only:

2018-06-30 11:44 PM 2,131,194 CBS.log
2018-06-30 11:13 PM 394 CheckSUR.log
2018-06-30 11:13 PM 397 CheckSUR.persist.log

I expect you need all the CABs. So, if you need everything which cloud service do you recommend that I go with?

What else do you need?

Cheers,

Hello and welcome!

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
