Hello,

I have tried several things already, but I cant seem to get windows update to work anymore.

1) "sfc /scannow" showed no issues
2) "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" resulted in error 87 "The restorehealth option is not recognized in this context."
3) System Update Readiness tool resulted in hundreds of missing cbs mums and 1 missing cbs catalog
4) the SFCFix tool pretty much just shows the same thing as #3
5) WindowsUpdate.diagcab from microsoft's website says it found some errors and fixed everything except 1 thing

RootCause: RC_DataStore
ErrorCode: 0x80070490

The dism.log file that it created shows:

- sixty something instances of "oemxx.inf" file missing
example: DISM Driver Manager: PID=7240 Error, file not found 'oem12.inf'. - CDriverManager::OpenPackageByFile(hr:0x80070002)

- one instance of:
DISM.EXE: Failed validating command line: dism /image /add-driver /?

- and one instance of:
DISM Imaging Provider: PID=7828 TID=7016 "Could not find image manager interface." - CGenericImagingManager::CreateDismImage(hr:0x80004002)

Even after running all of the above and restarting the computer, windows update still ends up right back at error 80073701 for kb4516065.
I've zipped up the logs and have uploaded them to dropbox.
Link to logs.zip

I dont remember what order I ran these in, so the logs may not chronologically follow the list above, I can re-run them if necessary.
Some help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Update:
I just now saw this page on microsoft's support site, but to do what it is suggesting sounds like a lot of work and a lot of disk space being eaten up.
Even if theres no way around the disk space, IF this is the solution that I would be stuck with, is there a way to automate this?
