Re: Can't Install Win 7 SP1. Done sfc/scannow and SFCfix And No Fix-Win 7

If you receive Windows Update error 80070490, it means that a file (CBS Manifest) that's needed to install updates is corrupt. To correct this problem, you'll need to repair Windows. Repairing Windows won't damage your personal files or the programs that are installed on your computer.

To do this, insert your Win 7 installation DVD/USB while you're running Win 7 and follow these instructions.

No. It has to be an "in place" repair.

Which version of Windows 7 are you running (Starter, Home Premium, Pro)? You can download an ISO file and burn it to DVD or USB.

Re: Can't Install Win 7 SP1. Done sfc/scannow and SFCfix And No Fix-Win 7

I have Windows 7 Ultimate.
Can you give me a guide how to download the .ISO file (where to download. Which file to download. Do i need to turn my usb to bootable usb?if yes how to do it. If no just to copy the iso into the usb?

Please wait for one of the certified analysts to take over your case. They will be able to help you and fix your issue most likely without you needing to repair your OS.

Hello and welcome

Due to the precise nature of your corruption, you will receive help from a user named softwaremaniac. He's one of our senior trainees here who's in his final phrase of his studies and needs to gain some real world experience in specific areas of Windows Update. This means that he'll be assisting you, but that I will first need to double check and approve his fixes before he posts them to you. If anything this is a good thing for you because it means that you've got at least two of us watching over your thread, but it will unfortunately add a slight delay between each reply. I hope that you understand and can accept the need for us to train up new members in this way in order to carry on doing what we do here, however, if for any reason you object to this setup, I will happily take on your thread myself.

Thank you very much for your understanding. We'll be with you very shortly.

Just One Question.
Do I Need To Do Again sfc/scannow?

Re: Can't Install Win 7 SP1. Done sfc/scannow and SFCfix And No Fix-Win 7

Yes. First you follow the SFCFix Script instructions and then run SFC scan to verify that the fix has worked.
Thank you.
