Hello Sysnative! Just found this website through google :)

First of all im sorry for my english, its not my first language. So if you cant understand something i want to say. Just ask ^^

Soo. For some reason the program i have to run, the Sysnative Bluescreen File Collection does not work. If i run it as administrator it just freezes after 2minutes at "Waiting for Systeminfo". So i guess i just post a minidump+the system health report :S

first my System:

Motherboard:
Asus M4A87TD EVO

CPU:
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T @ 3.2GHz(not oc'ed in any way)

Graphics card:
Gigabyte AMD Radeon R9 280X (this card is brandew, i had a HD5770 before. same bluescreens with that card)

HDD:
Seagate WDC1002FAEX-00Y9A0 1000TB(checked my hdd already)

PSU:
be quiet! Straight Power BQT E7-500W

RAM:
G.Skill DIMM 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL Ripjaws-Serie

OS:
Windows 7 Professional 64Bit(new installed, bluescreens still there)

I have these Bluescreens since last year July. They just randomly appeared and i didnt think about it much. I just kept playing. So after they just wouldnt stop i thought its a graphics card issue because they only appeared when i played games(BF4, BF3, DiRT3) So i bought a new graphics card. Which wasnt the problem because i still have the same issues :P I had someone in a different(german) forum debugging my minidumps. He said something about a "CPU CACHE ERROR". I dont really know what that is to be honest.

My CPU temperature is never higher than 60°C. My graphics card gets up to 40-50°C in games.

Some weird thing is, i never even get to see the bluescreen anymore. My Computer just restarts and i get a bluescreen error when i login to windows.

This is a list what i have already tried to fix the problem.
  • Driver update
  • changed my graphics card
  • re-installed OS
  • checked temperature
  • checked my HDD with crystal disk info
  • BIOS Update
  • BIOS Reset
  • 13 hour memtest without an error
  • RAM voltage increased by 0.1V
  • ASUS Express Gate disabled

Hi,

The attached DMP file is of the WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124) bugcheck.

A fatal hardware error has occurred. This fatal error displays data from the Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA).

If we run an !errrec on the 2nd parameter of the bugcheck (address of the WER structure) we get the following:

Code:

There is only so much you can do with a bugcheck like this until it comes down to a faulty processor that will need to be replaced. Start from 1 and work downward:

1. Ensure your temperatures are within standard and nothing's overheating. You can use a program such as Speccy if you'd like to monitor temps - Speccy - System Information - Free Download

2. Clear your CMOS (or load optimized BIOS defaults) to ensure there's no improper BIOS setting or to clear overclock settings - How To Clear CMOS (Reset BIOS)

3. Ensure your BIOS is up to date.

4. The only software conflict that can usually cause *124 bugchecks are OS to BIOS utilities from manufacturer's like Asus' AI Suite. If you have something like this software-wise, remove it ASAP.

5. If all of the above fail, the only left to do is replace your processor as it is faulty.

Patrick

Wow! What a quick reply! Holy cow! Havent expected this! Thank you so much :) Gonna try the things you listed ASAP :)

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Ok, i checked my temps again. My CPU is at 30°C in idle and ingame its at 50-60°C. My Bios is up to date and i've already reset my Bios twice. I have reinstalled my Windows last week. So no Asus software should be installed atm. I guess my CPU is broken then. I will make a post if i get it fixed with a new CPU.

I dont think the Phenom x6 is built anymore by AMD. So i guess i have to buy a new CPU. I think i have to get a new Motherboard aswell then because my MB doesnt support the new AMD FX Cpu's. I dont have any money right now to buy both. So it should take little bit of time for me to post if it worked or not.

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

My pleasure!

I checked again for you, just to be sure, and you do have some software installed that's problematic.

AODDriver2.sys - AODDriver2.sys is listed and loaded in your modules list which is AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard. Known BSOD issues in Win7 & 8.

Please uninstall either software ASAP! If you cannot find either software to uninstall, or it's not installed, please navigate to the following filepath:

C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys

and rename AODDriver2.sys to AODDriver.2old

and then Restart.

AsIO.sys - Asus PCProbe Utility, uninstall ASAP. It can also be a part of the AI Suite, which I'd also uninstall.

Regards,

Patrick

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Ok, i renamed the AMD Overdrive. I cant find the other 2: AsIO and AI Suite :( Either im blind or its hidden somewhere. Maybe the rename of the Overdrive helped. Im gonna play a bit now :)

EDIT: I've found the AsIOUnins.exe. Located at C\program files\ASUS\AsIO.(the Asus folder was hidden) I tried to run it as administrator. Didnt worked. So i just deleted it since i couldnt find any other ASUS folders and/or files.

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

I really wouldn't have 'deleted it'. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename AsIO.sys to AsIO.old, and then restart.

Regards,

Patrick

Re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watching streams

Ye, after i deleted it i kinda thought "damn, that was pretty dumb". But i couldnt find any other ASUS files. It was just the Uninstall file which wouldnt run, even as administrator.
I cant really find AsIO.sys. These are the only files which start with an "a": 7o7Mk.png

EDIT: Just forced a bluescrenn with BF4. Just to let you know! :) btw. I really have to thank you again for helping me. actually better than ANY german forum i went on :P

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad I could help! :grin1:

I ran a quick search for AsIO.sys in the old .DMP's you linked, and it fails to show a filepath. Try these two paths:

C:\Program Files > check anything Asus related.

C:\Windows\SysWOW64 > check anything Asus related.

If the above is no good, and/or the rename doesn't stop the crashes, we have a processor problem.

Regards,

Patrick

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Ok, i've found these two. 7o9fQ.png Should i rename it?

EDIT: Oh, just found this 7o9m0.pngIs this ASUS related?

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Ah-ha, they couldn't hide for long!

Before renaming, let's check with Revo - Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

With Revo, look for anything such as Asus PC Probe, AI Suite, etc. If nothing's listed, do the following:

1. Create a Restore Point - Windows 7 - START | type create | select "Create a Restore Point"

2. After that's done, rename everything in that image to .old

and then Restart.

Patrick

Ok, renamed, created a restore point and restarted. Lets see :)

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Let's hope for the best! It's always a shame when the processor itself is the fault.

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

I've played for 20minutes, no BSOD so far. 20 minutes isnt really that long but i've decided to go to bed for now. Its 2:51AM in germany atm. Sorry :P I'm gonna try and force a bluescreen tomorrow. Gonna make a post asap :)

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Not a problem, I look forward to your update.

Patrick

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Hi, still the same BSOD. 0x124 after like 1hour of gaming. Seems like my Processor is the cause :S

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Somehow i cant edit my post. Uhm, would it help to reinstall my OS? I already have reinstalled it twice. But since you've found some ASUS stuff on it i thought that might help?

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Sure, it's worth a try if you'd like to be absolutely sure. You can clean install the OS, and this time, don't do any Optional Windows Updates (only Recommended), and don't install the drivers from the motherboard CD (go to Asus' website instead).

Just get your necessary drivers, and no bloatware utilities.

Patrick

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Hey. Reinstalled my windows and installed the drivers from here: Motherboards - M4A87TD EVO. Played 30 minutes and got the same BSOD. I think i have to get a new CPU/Motherboard.#
Btw. i also have some issues with my USB ports on my motherboard. The front ports aswell. Sometimes when my headset is plugged in and i plug my Gaming Wheel in the sound from my Headset just shuts down. The frontports are the same. Also i have no sound sometimes when i boot up. I have to replug my Headset. My Headset is the Logitech G35(USB Headset)

Maybe this has something to do with the BSOD's

re: Bluescreen 0x124 mostly while gaming, sometimes while surfing/watcing streams -W7 x64

Thanks for the info!

Yes, it does sound like motherboard failure which raises the question if it's the CPU as well or not. If you'd like to get a new motherboard / CPU combo, that's great. Two birds with one stone, although it's all up to you.

Regards,

Patrick
