I'm currently working on computer that's running windows 7 home premium, x64 bit.
As the title suggests, I'm running into an issue with windows update that is persisting as I've been going through the various updates available ( Installed windows fresh, starting with SP1).

One specific update, kb2647753 is continually failing to install, with the error code 8024200D. I ran the hotfix version of it, as well as the fixit tool from the microsoft downloads page, and still failing.

Also ran the System Update Readiness Tool, and the following problems were found and not fixed:

-Windows Update error 0x800F081F

-Cryptographic service components are not registered

Here is the SFCFIX text:

Update: I ran sfc/scannow a few times under admin cmd, and it reported there were corrupt files it couldn't repair. Searching the CBS log revealed that each time I scanned, this was reported twice in the report as a failure:

That may or may not be of assistance to anyone trying to lend me a hand, but I figured I would share it either way.

Hello Shields and welcome to Sysnative

I am having issues accessing this zip file, there are a few errors coming up when trying to extract it.

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created.
  8. Attach this to your next post please.
Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next please post please upload via Dropbox or ge.tt
