I have am having persistent failures in trying to update Win7-Prox64 to Win10 on my main commputer. I am using a mounted .iso file which worked OK on my other computer. The error code is 0x8007001F-0x2006.

I have tracked the problem (I think) to corruptions or missing installations of KB4074598 and KB4338818. When I try to install them I get a "not applicable to your computer" error message, which I understand is incorrect.

I have followed you posting instructions.

* SFC /Scannow finds nothing amiss.

* My SFCFix.txt result is attached (pasting it here didn't work).

* My zipped CBS folder is too big to attach. Please DM me an email address to use for sending it via WeTransfer.

* I have run FRST64 registry search for two suspect KBs, and that is attached.

Hope you can help.

Thanks.

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
 5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Thank you. I ran the script, and then looked for the two KBs in Installed Updates, but they aren't there. Here is text from the results file:

Bingo! The Win10 installation went smoothly, and I'm up and running. THANK YOU for your help; the whole process with SysNative was so simple. And that's after I spent about 50 hours on my own over a period of 4 trying to make the install work and trying trick I could find on the web. Will make a donation right away.
