Hi there!

Today I attempted to update my windows 7 to windows 10 but I got the following error:
0xC1900101 - 0x2000C
ínstallation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation. (translated to english from my own language)

I ran 'sfc /scannow' and everything in the log seemed fine, except lines like these, which appeared multiple times

I googled 'PINTLGB.IMDB' which brought me to your forum, and I saw steps involving the SFCFix Script but I didn't dare to run it myself, as it mentioned that it was only recommended to specific users.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello there!

Please zip and attach C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log

Is this an Asus laptop? Can I get the model?

Let's check the disk health, just in case.

GSmartControl
Follow the instructions below to test your hard drive health with GSmartControl:

  • Download GSmartControl and save it on your Desktop;
  • Extract the content of the GSmartControl .zip archive and execute gsmartcontrol.exe; To extract you can right-click your mouse on the GSmartControl.zip file and select Extract.
  • Identify your drive in the list, and double-click on it to bring up it's window (usually you'll find your drive by it's size or it's brand name);
  • Go in the Perform Tests tab, then select Extended Self-test in the Test type drop-down list and click on Execute (this test can take a few hours to complete);
  • Once the test is over, the results will be displayed at the bottom of the window. Please copy and paste these results in your next reply;
  • Also, go in the Attributes tab and if you have any entries highlighted in red or pink, copy and paste their name in your next reply (or take a screenshot of the GSmartControl window and attach it in your next reply);

Yeah! My laptop is an Asus N56DP-S3007V.
I left my laptop when the test was running and when I came back I noticed it stopped at 40% ('Test was manually aborted'). I added the log of the test just in case, but I'll come back tomorrow to run the full test. Lastly, there was nothing red or pink in the attributes tab.
Thanks for your help!

Looks okay.

Try running the Asus LiveUpdate utility to make sure the drivers and BIOS are up to date.
Let me know how that goes

Hi!

Please do the following:

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

    Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.

  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

I also uploaded the cbs file! I hope its useful to you!
Somehow though, sleepmode is no longer available on my pc. I don't know if that is related. My pc also randomly shuts down sometimes now.

Hi!

The random shutdowns could be caused by overheating or a faulty piece of hardware.

Please do the following:

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.
