[SOLVED] Win7 fresh installation getting WU Errors

I`ve formated my PC and reinstalled Windows 7. But Windows Update is throwing Error Code 800F0900. After lots of reseach nothing solved this issue for me, then I found this forum and I am happy to see that there are many people here with the same error getting it solved thanks to this forum`s members, like so https://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-update/22100-win7-x64-brand-new-computer-wu-errors.htm

So, can you guys help me?

I run the System Update Readiness Tool and the command SFC /scannow . It generates the following log files (attached to this thread):

C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

I would appreciate any help. MANY MANY Thanks in advance!

Please start with the following:

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.


  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.


Afterwards, run SURT and attach CheckSUR.log.

I also got an alert saying that the file MSVCR100.dll is missing on my PC.
