The past few days I've had a problem with my Windows 11 PC. In the middle of something I'll see a very brief BSOD (too brief to even read), and the system will shutdown and reboot.

Square One: Upon startup it's like nothing happened. Any new files, browsing history, installations etc are wiped, and any history after July 4th is gone. Eventually though, the same BSOD will occur, and the PC will immediately restart and take me back to Square One.

If I go to C:> Properties > Tools and run Error Checking, it immediately says "There was a problem scanning this drive"
If I try 'Repair this Drive' it says "Windows Cant repair the drive while it's in use.. Repair on next restart / Restart and repair now". Whichever option I choose just takes me back to Square One.

I've tried using CMD and running various Chkdsk commands (/r /f, etc). See screenshots attached.

I've tried various PC Resets (keep my files, delete my files, factory reset & reinstall Windows..), every time the PC boots back up it takes me back to Square One.

Please help! Any expert advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

  • When finished, openthe installed program by double clicking on it.
    • Good - There are no problems found, the drive is working properly.
    • Caution - The drive have some problems. (which indicates a drive that you should most likely be thinking about backing up and replacing.)
