Hey guys. I was at the Windows update subforum here and got some great help from BrianDrab. He helped me with my initial issues. Here's that thread: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...rvice-exception-bsod-sfc-dism-didnt-work.html

However, the past two days I've had an excessive amount of blue screens that varied in source it seems.

I initially used Snappy Driver to install some new drivers that it said were newer after suffering the first two blue screens since I was helped in the other thread. I haven't rolled back those changes yet.

I then used CCleaner to see if it would help, I got two blue screens in quick succession. From there I rolled back the registry entries I deleted.

I linked the easy view of all the blue screens I've had in the past month down below, and attached the descriptive text file of the issues to the post.

I'll also attach DxDiag to the post.

I'd appreciate any and all help I can get, I'm at my wits end!

EDIT: Just had another blue screen, I'm updating the code and blue screen txt file.

So I just system restored to before I updated my drivers with Snappy Drivers. All the BSOD's before 5/18/2017 at 12am are not due to Snappy Driver or CCleaner, if they caused them at all.

I don't know if this matters, but when I try to use the Intel Driver Update Utility, it tells me no drivers are detected for my product and that there aren't any available drivers for download.

Hi tibernero. :welcome:

  • Please provide answers for (answer the best that you can):
    • System Manufacturer?
    • Laptop or Desktop?
    • Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom)
    • OS ? (Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista)
    • x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit)?
    • Service pack?
    • What was original installed OS on system?
    • Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)?
    • Age of system? (hardware)
    • Age of OS installation?
    • Have you re-installed the OS?
    • CPU
    • RAM (brand, model, which slots are you using?)
    • Video Card
    • MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop)
    • Power Supply - brand & wattage (if laptop, skip this one)
    • What security software are you using? (Firewall, antivirus, antimalware, antispyware, and so forth)
    • Are you using proxy, vpn, ipfilters or similar software?
    • Are you using Disk Image tools? (like daemon tools, alcohol 52% or 120%, virtual CloneDrive, roxio software)
    • Are you currently under/overclocking? Are there overclocking software installed on your system?

  • Retrieve System Information, using speccy
    1. Download Speccy portable - current version 1.30.730 (click), unzip/decompress it and put it on your desktop.
    2. When the program opens, it will retrieve some information regarding your system.
    3. Once it's done, select the File menu and choose Publish snapshot. Answer Yes to the confirmation message.
(Or generate a log in your pc, if you prefer to not publish the snapshot for some reason)
    4. On the next screen that comes up, choose the Copy to Clipboard button and paste this link in your next reply.
(Or upload here the generated log, in case you didn't publish the snapshot)

  • Facultative System information log (if previous point fails for some obscure reason)
The following command should generate a log, named MsInfo.nfo, on your desktop, after some time (few seconds or minutes).
Upload it here when windows finished its creation.
It obviously should be run from an elevated command prompt:
    Code:
    msinfo32 /nfo msinfo32 /nfo "%userprofile%\desktop\MsInfo.nfo"

Are you using the kit G.skill F4-2400C15D-16GVR?
Specs: Ripjaws V DDR4 16GB (8GBx2) Dual Channel Kit 2400MHz 15-15-15-35-2N 1.20v Unbuffered Non-ECC.
Link: F4-2400C15D-16GVR (click).
If I understood correctly, you didn't put them in second and fourth slots (starting from the cpu).
I'd try to switch them for first.
Check also if you can set their frequency/speed to 1866 or 2133, either with the automatic xmp profiles or manually (with the "DRAM frequency" setting, probably).
Those are the values advised by intel i5-6500 Processor specifications.

Yes, that's my RAM. I'll be sure to swap them to the second and fourth slots when I get back.

I've received 3 more blue screens today, 2 Memory Management, and one IRQL not less but equal.

I'm assuming I make those frequency changes in the BIOS?

Thanks, I'm not home right now but I'll give it a shot when I get back tonight and report back. Thanks!

EDIT: I'm currently using teamviewer to remote my desktop and check my RAM to make sure those were the exact specifications... I think they may be 1066 mHz?

Here are some pictures of the two RAM chips from CPU-Z.

CPU-Z and Speccy say both 1093.
That means currently it's (about) 2186.
Dumps show 2176MHz.

Therefore CPU-Z and Speccy should show 933 or 1066 (1066.5), after the changes.

Never use a 3rd party app to update drivers.

The only ones really to watch for updates - video (not Intel on-board); audio (often OEM); wifi; Ethernet.

Go to Device Manager and expand video (if NVIDIA or ATI), audio, networking.

Then look up the driver name.

Go to the DRT - Driver Reference Table - look up the drive name; download any available update(s).

You should also try your system manufacturer's support site (OEM),
