Hello,
I have an HP DM3Z-1000 running Win 10 Build 1607 14393.1198. It is having a number of issues:
- Says it cannot connect to the windows server to check for updates
- In photos it won't scroll through photos
- Can't access Microsoft store
After some effort, i was able to do the following (I used Image_Health_17.01.05 to do most of this):
- Run DISM ScanHealth
- Run DISM RestoreHealth with source being a mounted ISO file
- Run SFC Scannow (ran it multiple times)
- Run SFCFix (the last thing I tried)
The ScanHealth / RestoreHealth found two CSI Payload Corruptions:
- amd64_microsoft-windows-classpnp-minwin_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.14393.0_none_3c26221203f9b3ca\Classpnp.sys- amd64_microsoft-windows-scripting-chakra_31bf3856ad364e35_11.0.14393.0_none_24c455c25c03c5ac\Chakra.dll
However, RestoreHealth said it could not find the source files to repair. I checked the relevant folders in C:\Windows\WinSxS\ and the files are not present in the relevant folders -- I could find the referenced files in the relevant folders in another Win 10 Home laptop.
I tried to see if I could do a repair install from the mounted iso, but it says it cannot run setup.
I have attached a zip with the various log files.
Any help on getting the laptop to function properly would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
