Hi everyone,

I need help ; i have here my wife's laptop not booting anymore after having a BSOD with the message CRITICAL PROCESS DIED ( ! ) :confused2:

Now, if i try to reboot windows, it enters an endless loop of : trying to boot, proceed to an automatic verification/correction, a message
that it did not succeeded in correcting the problem, and ending with suggesting to reboot ... ( ! )

Even if i try to boot from the install DVD, i have that same endless loop ... :banghead:

I tried various advanced booting options ( not all ) but to no avail ...

now i can end up on the command prompt ... trying to use your SysnativeBSODApp to help me debug,
but it tells me it's not compatible with my actual version of Windows .... ( i believe that's because Windows is not even loaded ... :noidea: )

Now i need help, 'cause i'm running out of imagination on reviving that laptop ....

thanks

So, you got the message that corrupt files were found but couldn't be repaired?
If so, go back to the command prompt, navigate to C:\Windows\Logs\and copy the cbs.log somewhere. Afterwards, open a new thread in the WIndows Update forum :)
