Have had this error on Win10 HP Envy DV6 Laptop for less than 2 weeks. Last update I recall was an optional quality
update I believe. I had to click on it to select it to download. I also recall I had looked through why this older
laptop fails to qualify for Win11.
I have gone through all kinds of fix attempts from various pages on the internet. None work.
I did try to use a downloaded new copy of Win 10 that would replace my current files but retain
the apps and my personal files, BUT after the download the Media Creation Tool said Windows 10
would not run on my computer. This computer is originally a Win 8 IIRC that was upgraded to Win 10
during the free upgrade periods.
After a forced shutdown, I get a message about needing to properly shut down before removing
the USB drive for Windows to Go. I don't know anything about Windows to Go. Occasionally
after a period of sitting in sleep mode, the screen display stays dark. So I have to do a forced
shutdown and restart then it's all back to normal.
Help please!
