So, I downloaded and ran sfcfix.exe and it crashes n the checking logs step. I selected to send the crash logs to sfcfix development. But I still need to get this fixed. Tried running this dism command and it failed...

C:\WINDOWS\system32>Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.14393.0

Image Version: 10.0.14393.0

[== 5.0% ]
Error: 1726

The remote procedure call failed.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

This is a Windows 10 build 1607 64-bit machine. Lenovo ideapad flex 4-1570

I'm attaching a zip file with the CBS.log, the dism.log and a summary of the errors from sfc /scannow

Your help is kindly requested.

When I try to run sfc /scannow, I get this error:

Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service.

So, your assistance with getting sfc running would be appreciated.

Thanks

Could you restart your computer and try running SFC /scannow again? If it fails, attach the CBS.log

Then, I would like you to run the Farbar Service Scanner tool

Farbar Service Scanner
1. Download Farbar Service Scanner from here, and move it to the Desktop
2. Right-click on FSS.exe > Run as Administrator
3. Checkmark everything, and click Scan
KUTc3I2.png
4. Once it finishes, Notepad will open FSS.txt on your Desktop. Copy and paste everything in it in your next reply

SFC ran and did not find any problems.

Here is the FSS output:

If SFC did not find any problem then all is good :)

The reason I had you run the Farbar Service Scanner was that I was concerned about the remote procedural call error: "The remote procedure call failed." But that looks to be fine.

I will be marking this thread as solved, but if you have any issues, let me know.
