Dear Forum,

i get error 0x80071160 on KB5032189 install. I also get a new error message in my main application after the last windows update. I dont get this error on my other workstations wich run the same OS and updates. I assume something went wrong with the last windows update but i cant figure out how to fix it. Please help me. Thank you so much!

Sfc /scannow does find errors but is not able to repair them.

Dism does report error 4448 "wdf driver found damages in resource table in the compressed file"

ComponentsScanner.txt and CBS.zip is attached.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi,

thank you so much! DISM had no errors and the error in my main application is gone. You saved my day! Donation is on the way.

Hi,

You're welcome. Glad to hear the issue has been resolved and thanks for your donation to Sysnative... (y)
I will mark this thread as solved then.

Hi,

seems it was to early to party. sfc /scannow and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth run both without errors. But the update of KB5032189 still stops with error 0x80071160.

New ComponentsScanner.txt and CBS.zip is attached.

Can you help again? Thank you!

Hi,

Please attach the previous CBS logs as well.

Upload a copy of the CBS folder
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\Logs folder.
  • Right-click on the CBS folder and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.

  • Attach the file CBS.zip to your next reply.

Hi,

Open an elevated command prompt, run the following command and copy and paste the result in your next post.
Code:
certutil -hashfile "%systemroot%\WinSxS\Catalogs\6a3f42c143fba96f56a0fd24d72a712ace325418edf8b859f9b1dff5803431c7.cat" SHA256

Hi,

C:\WINDOWS\system32>certutil -hashfile "%systemroot%\WinSxS\Catalogs\6a3f42c143fba96f56a0fd24d72a712ace325418edf8b859f9b1dff5803431c7.cat" SHA256

Sorry for the german, translation:

CertUtil: -hashfile-command failed: 0xc0000006 (NT: 0xc0000006 STATUS_IN_PAGE_ERROR)
CertUtil: The instruction at "0x%p" referenced memory at "0x%p". The required data was not transferred to memory due to an I/O error in "0x%x".
