Hi,

I was failed to run the Windows update (Update for Windows Defender antimalware platform - KB4052623 (Version 4.16.17656.18052) - Error 0x80070643) and later, Internet Explorer cannot be started.

Both SFC scan and DISM failed (log files are attached). SFCFix also crashed and I already allowed it to upload crashed report.

My Windows version is Win 10 - 1709. Please let me know if you need any further info.

Great thanks.

It does not look like you provided the log after the failure, because I couldn't find any error info. Please try installing again and attach CBS.log after the failure for me to check.

I deleted old log, ran the update (failed again) and here is the new log. Thanks.

It fixed something. Please download the update manually (the msu file) and attempt the install like that. If it fails, attach CBS.log.

Nevermind, I'll skip this update. There's too much trouble so far. Thanks so so much for your kind help.
