[SOLVED] Win10 21H2 not updating

Hello everybody,

A friend of mine has an unattended computer with Win10 which is not updating from a long time (21H2). Windows Update is giving several error codes: 0x80070643, 0x800706ba, 0x800706be... I tried to repair Windows with DISM but not result at all.
Appart from that, computer is working OK.

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi @Maxstar, thanks for your reply.

I followed your instructions and, althought it finished with some errors, at the end I tried again to update with Windows Update.

This time system could be updated, and all pending updates were succesfully installed, in several rounds of Windows Update and reboot.

Everything seems OK now, so I think problem has been solved. Thanks a million for your wise support.
