Win Server 2022 Std - Windows Update will not complete

Hi all,

This is my first support request here. After trying several online solutions (DISM, registry keys) to fix our Windows Update issues I came across this site and I'm glad I did because it seems lot's of techies have similar non-explainable issues that get resolved.

Anyway, my issue relates to Windows Updates not completing on a fresh install of Win Server 2022 STD (ISO came from MS) - I've never seen this behaviour before so a little stumped.

Windows Updates seem to do their thing, but then at the end of the process we get the message "We couldn't complete changes. Undoing changes... " etc

Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Just tried upating again, and this error message (if it helps) showed up when it failed;

There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8007054f)

This error code has only shown up this morning, before now I didn't get a code - but it could be our server protection getting in the way.... I will check and report back.

Our issue is not endpoint protection related, as disabling it, and clean botting does not solve the issue.

Any help greatly appreciated. :)
