win 8 gets rid of aero. ludicrous. here:

how wretched!
it is like windows 2 (the little-used predecessor to windows 3.)
windows 2 -
1. looked like crap - like this metro poop
2. only allowed 1 app to be running - like this metro garbage

windows 8 will be the biggest boost to mac and linux ever.
i suspect that microsoft might even fall on its own sword on this one.

too bad ibm was shafted by microsoft in their co-development of os2.
we'd have ibm os8 now and it would be slick.
