WIN 8.1 KB3000850 failed

Hello!

Experiencing the same issue as the user above. Followed steps, ran SFCFix and was displayed the exact message p4s saw regarding the DISM repair on file AMD64/CNBJ23530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.16384.

I'm still failing to update KB3000850. It rolls back mid reboot. It's somewhat strange too, update history shows that it installed successfully every attempt that I've made. However, the update is not displayed within installed updates in Add / Remove.

Any suggestions on how to continue? I posted here to maybe avoid an extra thread on the ordeal. I could post the SFC info, however it's essentially exactly the same as P4S'.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

lets get started with a few scans:

SFC /SCANNOW

1. Right click on the
   
   button
2. Click on Command prompt (Admin) => Press Yes on the prompt
3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

1. Right click on the
   
   button
2. Click on Run => Inside the run box copy and paste the following command:
   

   cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"

3. Press Enter
4. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt, please rename this file to CBS_{Insert forum username here}_{insert todays Date here}.txt For example "CBS_Go The Power_1803.txt"
5. Please upload CBS_{Username}_{Date}.txt to this thread.

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or One Drive

Download and Run SFCFix

Please download and run SFCFix from >Here<

It will take about 15 minutes to process. Once the scan has completed a notepad file will launch with the results. Please copy and paste the entire contents of the results and post them back into this thread. Please put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Rebooted, tried to update and it failed.

Ran the scans again and everything is showing as fine.

Sorry for the delay, I have just returned from my holidays.

Are updates still failing on this machine?

if yes please run SFC /SCANNOW again and upload a new CBS log.
