Win 7 Back up disappeared Search and Archive not working in Outlook 2016 pro

Since Microsoft kindly uninstalled W!0 and I installed an an official DVD of Office 2016 Pro my backup's from Windows 7 on the external hard drive seem to have disappeared

The back ups are only available from the date of Windows 10 installation as far as I can tell.

I have only just become aware that Windows 10 on installation sets back ups to automatic every hour, unlike W7 which asks permission and gives the user the option to choose a back up schedule.

Windows 10 also states that the existing back up drive should not be used if has Win 7 back ups on it, but instead another drive should be used, this should be really be made clearer prior installation of W10, if it had been then I would have disconnected the external hard drive with the existing Win 7 back ups on.

I am going to order another external back up HDD for W10pro

That said it seems that all my archived emails are now lost from Office Outlook 2007 ultimate ?

Since Win 10pro was installed the search and archive facilities in Outlook 2016 no longer work and yet it states that indexing is complete and then when I select archive it asks that I create a new archive folder, Win 7 just created a destination folder itself, not sure what do on this one?

In Win 10 they seem to have changed e the names of all the particular task's and operations from what they were in W,, this makes familiarisation with Win 10 and sorting problems out all the more difficult.

Also in Win 7 it was possible to hide optional (gaming etc) updates, his doesn't appear to be possible in W10?
