[SOLVED] Win 2012 Server Update/System Corruption

Hello,

I have a Windows Server 2012 box that has the endlessly searching Windows Update issue...it appears there is some system corruption which SFC cannot address. The output from SFCFix is pasted below and here is a link to the CBS logs folder (too big to attach here):

Since it's you I simply had to take this thread!

This is a known issue. The problem lies in the Desktop Experience. It needs to be removed for Windows Update to start working again!
 
Hi there, friend! Thanks for picking up my post and I'm glad you're still a maniac. :)

You were exactly right - I uninstalled Desktop Experience and WU works again. Since using DE isn't a hard requirement I uninstalled, got up to date and on my way. :)
