Hi calcu007 :)

My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue. Follow the instructions below please.

System File Checker (SFC)
Follow the instructions below to run a SFC scan on your system and to provide the CBS log in your next reply;
  • On Windows Vista & 7, click on the Windows Start Menu, then enter cmd in the search box, right-click on the cmd icon and select
    Spcusrh.png
    Run as Administrator
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command below and press on Enter;
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    Note: There's a space between "sfc" and "/scannow";
  • Once the scan is complete, enter the command below and press on Enter
    Code:
    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  • A file called cbs.txt will have appeared on your Desktop. Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;
Note: Please note that the CBS.log is volatile, which means that if you don't upload it after the SFC scan is completed, it won't contains the information from the scan anymore. So archive it and upload it as soon as you can.

I cannot get anything from a DISM log after a DISM scan if you don't upload the CBS.log as well. Follow the instructions below please.

DISM - Fixing Component Store Corruption
Follow the instructions below to run a DISM scan on your system:
  • On Windows 8, drag your cursor in the bottom-left corner, and right-click on the metro menu preview, then select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • On Windows 8.1, right click on the Windows logo in the bottom-left corner and select Command Prompt (Admin);
  • Enter the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press on Enter;
  • Let the scan run until the end (100%);
  • Copy the C:\Windows\Logs\DISM folder and C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log file on your Desktop, then right-click on it, go to Send to... and select Compressed .zip archive;
  • Upload the file on Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and post the download URL for it here;

Nothing in the logs. Where are you getting that error exactly? When you try to download the Windows 10 upgrade via Windows Update?

Using win 10 icon in the task bar. I even try the ISO image option but when I open the setupfile nothing happen.

Yes, i tried. After i double click the setup nothing happens, none options or menu appears, nothing

I faced that situation on my laptop: you click on "Upgrade Now", then it moves on to the next window where you see a loading circle for a few seconds and then it closes, right?

no, nothing happens. After UAC warning , I click yes and nothing happens after.

A lot of users are having this error code when trying to upgrade to Windows 10. However, there doesn't seems to be a solution for it yet. I'm currently consulting with other helpers here to see if anyone have an idea of how it can be solved. I have a few ideas I would like to try, but I'll just share them with my colleagues first, alright?

ok, it is even weird that Media Creation Tool didn't work for me too. What is the corruption that SFC found?

They aren't corruptions, they are two files falsely reported by SFC as corrupt. Microsoft is aware of the issue and said they'll address it in a future update.

Alright, try to install the Windows 10 upgrade again please. As soon as it fails, upload the following files for me.
  • C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log
  • C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

No, you don't. Simply try to install Windows 10, and as soon as you get the 80070005 error code, upload the two files for me :)

Follow the instructions below please.

Step#1 - Capture Process Monitor Trace
1. Download and run Process Monitor. Leave this running while you perform the next steps.
2. Go ahead and attempt to upgrade to Windows 10.
3. Stop Process Monitor as soon as the upgrade fails. You can simply do this by clicking the magnifying glass on the toolbar as shown below.

4. Select the File menu...Save... and save the file to your desktop. This is likely the default location. The name (unless changed) will be LogFile.PML. This is fine.
5. Zip up and attach the LogFile.PML file as well as your CBS.log as well as your C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log.
