After days of fighting I arrived to this forum. Thank you.
The problem is classical I have a 21H2 (19044.2728) that is not updating to 22H2 (KB5029244 cumulative update).
I was quite sure it was only a space problem, but in the end it is not. It downloads, it restarts, at 9% rolls back with a 0x8007001f error.

in attach the CBS folder and the componentscanner one. I also attach my last windowsupdate log where the first *FAILED* messages are:

2023/09/12 10:53:31.5053222 5220 6180 DownloadManager Preparing update for install, updateId = 3DCF3076-F269-49D2-A253-2FAF3E20057E.1.

Actually, I don't know what else to try.

Thank you very much,

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Upload your DRIVERS Hive
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\config and locate the DRIVERS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named DRIVERS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

Upload the setupapi.dev.log file
  • Open Windows Explorer and browse to the C:\Windows\INF folder.
  • Right-click on the file setupapi.dev.log and choose Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder.
  • Now the message will appear, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
  • Click on the Yes button here.
  • Attach the file setupapi.dev.zip in your next reply.

Download and run SetupDiag from Microsoft
  • Download
    60e45c659164d-SetupDiag.png
    SetupDiag to your desktop.
  • Right-click on SetupDiag.exe and select Run as administrator.
  • When completed the following files are created: "Logs.zip, SetupDiag.exe.config and SetupDiagResults.log"
  • Attach SetupDiagResults.log and Logs.zip to your next reply.

Hi,

It seems there is an issue with the OneNote printer driver.

Download the
577bf0efb8088-FRST.png
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link

  • Note: Your antivirus program may report FRST incorrectly as an infection. If so, disable the real-time protection when downloading and running FRST.
  • Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  • Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Error: (09/14/2023 11:20:22 AM) (Source: Microsoft-Windows-WindowsUpdateClient) (EventID: 20) (User: NT AUTHORITY)
Description: Errore di installazione. Non è stato possibile installare il seguente aggiornamento, errore 0x80070705: 9WZDNCRFHVJL-MICROSOFT.OFFICE.ONENOTE.

It appears that you were using Office 2016 and migrated to Microsoft 365, is that correct?

Please provide a list of all the services, run the following command in an elevated prompt and attach the result.
Code:
WMIC SERVICE GET caption, name, startmode, state > "%userprofile%\desktop\services.txt"

Thank you again,

Well, it is possible but actually I'm not sure. I remember I had some troubles with office sometimes ago.

In attach the requested file.

NOTE: the right sytax it appears to be WMIC SERVICE GET caption, name, startmode, state > "%userprofile%\desktop\services.txt"

Was this a legal version of Microsoft Office 2016, or a version activated through KMS toolkits?

No, never used KMS. It could be that at a certain point i bought an oem 365 license.

No, I don't have it.... probably deleted form the download directory.

However, I can confirm I switched to Office 365 probably in (March) 2020.

Sorry

Alfonso

Okay, please run the the following command in an elevated prompt and attach Drivers.txt to your next post.
Code:
DISM /online /get-drivers /format:table > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\Drivers.txt"

Rich (BB code):
oem18.inf | prnms006.inf | No | Printer | Microsoft | 29/11/2016 | 16.0.7629.4000

Please perform the following steps first to make a backup of all the drivers.
1. Run the following commands one at a time in an elevated command prompt.
Code:
md "%systemdrive%\driver-backup"
dism /online /export-driver /destination:"%systemdrive%\driver-backup"
2. When the backup is ready, run the following command to uninstall (remove) the OneNote printer driver of Office 2016
Code:
pnputil /delete-driver oem18.inf /uninstall /force
3. Please post the result of the lastest command.

It seems the driver packet is in use and it's not possible to delete it:

Should I uninstall the printer?

Can you please copy and paste the result of PowerShell in your next post so I can translate the message?

Sorry for that

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> pnputil /delete-driver oem18.inf /uninstall /force
Utilità Plug and Play Microsoft

Disinstallazione del pacchetto driver completata.
Non è possibile eliminare il pacchetto driver: Uno o più dispositivi attualmente installati utilizzando il file INF specificato.
PS C:\WINDOWS\system32>

Translation:

It's not possible to delete the driver packet: One or more devices actually installed are using the specified INF file

Thank you

Thanks, please try to remove / uninstall the "Send to Microsoft OneNote 16 driver" as device.

Afterwards run the following command again:
Code:
DISM /online /get-drivers /format:table > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\Drivers.txt"
