[SOLVED] Where are my Office shortcut icon images?

I made shortcuts to Office applications, but the icons have no image. Where do I find them and how to I attach them to my shortcuts?

What happens when you click one of the icons?

The application launches normally. But there is still no image.

Ok, try the following.



Go to search and type:- cmd

Next press the ctrl +shift+enter keys on your keyboard an elevated cmd prompt will open.

Copy and paste all the below cmds into the command prompt window, press enter after each.

ie4uinit.exe -show

taskkill /IM explorer.exe /F (your desktop will go blank)

DEL /A /Q "%localappdata%\IconCache.db"

DEL /A /F /Q "%localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\iconcache*"

shutdown /p (your computer will shutdown completely, after this Restart your computer

I actually learned that from a user named @Jenae. It's the proper way to clean and restore the icon cache.
