ASUS P8Z77 Pro MB, Intel i7 3700 CPU. I use CCleaner and it found some dmp files today that seem to be related to USB. Never had them before and they seem to be at the same time and size.

Should I be worried??
Thanks for any info or suggestions.

I wouldn't be particularly worried, it just means that a component has crashed and the created a dump file for diagnostics. It's essentially an improvement to just adding a new entry to the event logs.

More information can be found here - The strange case of the large LiveKernelReports folder

However, I'm happy to check what the dump files say for you if you can please attach them.

Thanks for the response and offer.
I let CCleaner delete them and will see if I get anymore. I don't use that computer all that often so it may take a couple of days to see if they are re-created.
I got no indication that the .dmp files were there other than when they showed up in CCleaner so there was no BSOD or any record of them in Reliability History etc. (I didn't look at the Event Logs).
Just a point of interest, when I googled "USBXHCI dmp files", There were only 4 hits and they all seemed to be memory related.

There won't be a BSOD, the exception handling mechanism for Live Kernel Reports is not meant to be intrusive and therefore will silently produce dump files in the background. If it happens again, then please attach them and I'll have a look into it. BSODs are produced when the system is unable to gracefully recover from a system error.

those Dumps are the formerly called WER-Reports, non systemcritical failures.

unless you are impacted or it happens frequently, no need to hunt for explanations ;-)

I haven't started that particular computer back up again but will check it when I do. Thanks to all for the responses and if there is a recurring problem, I will be back to this thread.

No problem, marked this thread as solved now. If you do experience any issues or have any other questions, then please feel free to ask us.
