I've partitioned my laptop's HDD and have installed windows 8 pro and upgraded to 8.1 pro some time back...and have been using it as my primary OS. BTW, it works great. I can't seem to find the software for it that it uses with windows 7. I found the webcam model and software name...but can't find the actual software to download. My webcam works fine when using skype but if I wont to use the webcam independently, I can't. It used Cyberlinks YouCam3...not luck finding it. Right now I'm using the trial version of Cyberlinks YouCam6...but don't want to spend $40 they want for it. Anybody have any suggestions for a replacement.

Yes...that's the only independent software atm I'm using....but as we all know the app takes up the whole screen and I can't continue to do anything else until I finish w/the app. Switching between desktop mode and camera app mode is a pain. I did try the split screen...that works but just uncomfortable with that setup....over time I reckon. In the mean time I contacted Samsung and they linked me to some generic software. It works but no settings for resolution...one setting and I nor the agent I was with could find out what it was running at. So it looks like if I want a decent webcam software I'm going to have to pay for it. So for now I guess we can mark this one solved.
