[SOLVED] [W7SP1 x64] SFCc says problems and can't fix. SfcFIX finds no problem.

There are no apparent functional problems with the computer ... until I run sfc /scannow. Something is lying ... no?

Hi, does your Windows Update work? CBS log also reports 0 corruptions. I wouldn't worry if everything works. If Updates are failing, then try installing the one one(s) that fails(s) and attach CBS.log after doing that.

Yes .. everything seems to work. Just now downloaded and installed an optional update. The reason I ran SFC in the first place is that the computer restarted into STARTUP REPAIR .. which does a restore to an earlier time. This, I THINK has to do with PUREVPN ... the computer started doing that from the first time I inealled it until their tech support had me set its shortcut to Run as Administrator. Then, the computer started behaving ... until I did a PureVPN update. So I unstalled PVPN and ran sfc. There never was a windows update issue.

I was going to put this thread in the W10 forum, but I read that I should put it here.

The sfc "false positive" I thought showed the problem. I'll be back if there are any more problems
