Greetings. This has been going on for a long time now, since the first Quality Rollup last December. I have tried many things to attempt to fix it, and just ran out of patience and interest. I decided to try one more time to update Windows today, and received the same 80073701 error on two failed updates. KB2952664 and KB4048957. I've noticed several successes with this error on these forums, and thought I would turn to you for assistance.
I'm trying to go through the steps in this topic

I seem to be stuck on Step 3. The CheckSur package has been running for 30 minutes with no progress showing on the dialog.
My question is this. Is it normal to see "access denied" messages for expand.exe when viewing the process tree in Process Explorer?
I see your instructions say it can take 15 minutes or longer. What's the outside "longer" it could or should be?
