[SOLVED] [W7SP1 64] Latitude E6540: 0x50. FIX: DLKMD.SYS REMOVED (DisplayLink USB to video)

Getting multiple BSOD and when the laptop is left to idle it freezes and has to be manually powered down.

I have updated the bios, reinstalled graphics drivers, ran a memory test (all clear), ran a HDD test (all clear).

I’ve attached the files requested, anyone point me in the right direction? Driving me nuts over here.

Your DisplayLink Core Software USB to video driver is the culprit. Please remove it from the system.

Hi. . .

33 BSOD dumps dating back to 11-29-2016; all named the same 3rd party driver as softwaremaniac mentioned -

You can either try and find an update for it or remove it from your system. I would suggest the latter.

Thanks it has been removed! Seems to be working fine now, we will give it a few days before reinstalling (installing an updated version of the driver).

Sadly she travels a lot and has a USB monitor she takes with her to use on the road, so hopefully an updated version of the driver will not cause anymore BSOD and allow her to still use the monitor.
