As above really. Updates take ages to scan and then ages to download and try installing. Previously it did get to 'restart your computer to finish installing updates' Restarted twice and then gave me an 'error installing rolling back' type of message which then took about an two hours to rollback everything, following which I ran SFC /scannow which gave no errors and SURT which gave some Avast errors which I have cured by temporarily uninstalling. Help please.
