[W10v1709b16299 x64] Can't open ext. links, new inst.: FF ThunderBird & FB messenger.

I'm currently on a new install, (Version 1709, build 16299.15) and I've noticed I can't open links outside of chrome or firefox. I've tried clicking links in thunderbird, and Facebook Messenger and nothing happens. I checked Thunderbirds settings, and it is set to open links, but refuses to do so. If I try and force it, by clicking on open link with browser. Thunderbird locks up and freezes.

I should ad that when I do try to open a link, Thunderbird Causes svchost.exe Process to Spike..

Re: Can't open external Links on Windows 10

Not sure why the ablity to edit goes away so quickly, but I wanted to add that when I try to open a link in Messenger, it causes svchost.exe Process to Spike. Sometimes it will eventually (several minutes later) open the link, and sometimes it just doesn't do anything. I already ran a scan via spybot and came up clean, but with this install being only hours old.. It was not likely I picked up anything to begin with.

Also when I reboot, the cpu usage is norma. It's only when I try to open a link in either Messenger or Thunderbird. Windows doesn't seem to like this. I may just have to use the copy link option, vs just clicking.

Re: Can't open external Links on Windows 10

Solved! I'm not sure why it was causing problems, but it seems to have resolved itself.. The only thing I've done is install a few more things like, Lightroom, Discord. Windows Explorer basically closed, as I was trying to install Adobe Creative Cloud. I got it back by running task manager.. Then I couldn't get my task bar to show up, so I just hit the Windows key several times in a row and it came back, and now everything is fine... *shrugs* No idea why, but I will take it.
