R: VPNFilter Destructive Malware | US-CERT
US-Cert has issued a warning about a new sophisticated malware affecting popular Linksys, MikroTik, NETGEAR, and TP-Link networking equipment, as well as QNAP network-attached storage (NAS) devices.
The malware cannot survive a reboot so the first thing to do is reboot your NAS or router. You can reboot the router through a full reset, unplugging for a few seconds, or if supported, you may be able to restart your router through its admin menu. Then check for updates.
At this point in time, there are no firmware updates for my Linksys router. Hopefully there will be soon.
