[SOLVED] Vista Business SP2 Not Updating

WU seems to loop endlessly trying to find updates.
Even after hours of running no result...not even error message.

WU window, below the progress bar it states there was never a recent check for updates (there was, about a month ago) and NO updates installed, ever. (see screenshot).
Running SFC and chkdsk did not make a difference.
