Hello everyone,
I thought I would share a recent discovery I made. I'm sure lots of you are aware of https://www.virustotal.com/ - "A free service that analyzes suspicious files and URLs and facilitates the quick detection of viruses, worms, trojans, and all kinds of malware."
For those Firefox users, they have an extension called VTzilla which allows users to quickly upload URL's and files to virus total. A toolbar appears where you can either seach virus total or submit the current page. For those who do not like toolbars, it can be easily disabled with a right click. It is still possible to check a site or download in two ways:
Download the extension here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/vtzilla/?src=search#id=351419
Download the latest version of Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/fx/
Enjoy!

- Right click a URL and select Scan With VirusTotal
- When you click a download link Firefox asks you what you would like to do with it. You can then choose Scan With VirusTotal box to check the file before you download it.
