Upgrading from Windows 8.1 x64 Professional to Windows 10

Have you tried downloading the media creation tool for windows 10 and running it then choosing "upgrade now?" Google it.

You're getting an error when using the media creation tool? You will need to do a clean installation of windows 8.1 then try upgrading to win 10

Just wanted to see if there was any possible fix someone could provide before i do that, so gonna wait awhile before doing it.

And the guy i linked had the very same problem, and they managed to solve it, dont know how though.

Hi! :smile9:
In that topic, the user had uninstalled SQL server and removed the SQL account (from windows user accounts, through an indeterminate command sent by zcomputerwiz to the original poster).

Hence, have you installed SQL server in your PC?

Yeah i have SQL server installed, all i need to do is to remove those?
If possible i would also like to see the command to do so.

I'd try first from control panel, user accounts (and uninstall from control panel programs)...
But if this won't work, wait for sysnative's moderators/staff.
Or wait them anyway if you are not totally sure of the first sentence!

I've sucessfully uninstalled SQL server, but still give the same error when trying to upgrade to windows 10.

You will need to remove the SQL user accounts. What user accounts show up under Local Users & Groups\Users\ in Computer Management?

Ahh, nice, new error code this time, 80070652, can solve this one on my own.
Thanks alot @zcomputerwiz @xilolee @azroach.

Anyway zcomputerwiz, wanted to ask, how did you know first time that the error 80070004 was related to SQL Servers, I wouldn't find any docummentation from Microsoft about it?

I looked through C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log
The error indicated that the MSSQLServerOLAPService user profile was corrupt:

Code:
2015-08-07 14:56:35, Error [0x0803c9] MIG Cannot add mapping for user profile C:\Users\MSSQLServerOLAPService. Error: 1009[gle=0x000000cb]
