Hi, have been struggling with errors on window updates for a while and tried several things. Found posts on here which are identical to my issues, so hopefully you can help me.

I have Windows Home - 10.0.19045 Build 19045, when i try to update i get these errors 0x80070643 / 0x800700c1
When I run SFC /Scannow I get an error "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." I then ran DISM restorehealth and received "Error: 193 %1 is not a valid Win32 application." I tried an in place Windows 10 upgrade/repair and that also failed. I tried upgrading to Windows 11 and that failed.
Added CBS and ComponentsScannerReport.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Regards
Kurt

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Hi,

After i posted the first message i went in to see if it would do any of the updates and it did. All apart from 1 got updated. Told me it was ready for Windows 11, tried but failed. I then did the next fix and now all updates are done. It is now trying to upgrade to Windows 11, will see how that goes :)

Regards
Kurt
