Greetings I have Windows Update problem after I installed new CPU. (Updates failed to install)

I did run SURT, Win Update Repair Tool, SFC and Tweaking Windows Repair (All in One) tool

I solved some issues but still SFC cant fix some.

SFC details can be found here: 2015-12-21 02:39:08, Info CSI 00000009 [SR] Verifying 100 (0 - Pastebin.com
SFCFix log can be found here: Start time: 2015-12-21 03:59:08.783 Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1 - amd64 - Pastebin.com

CBS log is near 500MB delete is "access denied" by "C:\Windows\servicing\TrustedInstaller.exe"

Any ideas?

Oh yes, also when I turn on Intel Stepping in BIOS, Windows freezes on startup - no BSD just freeze right after animation of color dots merging together to create Win logo.

System is Win7 Ulitmate x64 SP1

Hi Miodragzz :)

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) - Scan
Follow the instructions below to run a scan with the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and provide a log;
  • Download the right version of SURT for your system;
    • Your version of Windows is:
  • Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go throught the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes);
  • On completion, a log will be created in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log;
  • Attach this log in your next reply;
Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.

Do you have your Windows installation media with you?

In that case you can either run a Repair Installation, or I can download and create a fix for you (but I need to download manually 20 Windows Updates, so it might take a bit). The decision is up to you. Doing a Repair Install keeps all your programs and files too.

What CPU, Motherboard and Bios version are you running?

MB: ASUS P5B Socket 775 modified to 771

CPU is Xeon E5345 Socket 771

BIOS is: latest - P5B 2104 (with added CPU microcode)

** I would like to note that I did run this configuration for several months without any problems, and still it runs very nice except this Win update and stepping issue. I dont really mind stepping as this machine is used for hard tasks anyway,

I really do like yours effort to aid me! So I would go with repair option to save your time rather than mine.

Thanks.

Seems we must go with manual fix option. I downloaded image from MS website and made new installation USB just in case, but I get this:

** Empty - log is also empty file. - Strange.

All good :) Alright, follow the instructions below please.

Did you copy and paste the files in the folders like listed in the instructions? Right now it seems that SURT ran without making any repairs.

I thought you gave up on me.

SFC didnt find anything - here are results: C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow Beginning system scan. This process will ta - Pastebin.com

2. I upgraded Win Update agent to latest version - no results.
3. Added 2 registry keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX] “IsConvergedUpdateStackEnabled”=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate\UX\Settings] “UxOption”=dword:00000000

no result,

4. Uninstalled Win10 propaganda KB update and tried other updates - no result.

5. Tried to install GWX update again - it updated fine - problem with rest of updates persist.

6. Did run MBAM - found some tracking cookies - noting serious, removed them - no result.

7. Deleted Win\SoftwareDistribution folder - it was bounded with 5 svchost.exe processes of which 2 have unlocked it fine rest I had to kill to unbound. After delete CBS.log stopped to grow (before it grew up to 1 GB in matter of minutes). Yet no positive result on installing updates.

8. Tried to place missing packages from SURT log into Win\Temp\CheckSUR\... did run SURT after it, again same 8 errors - no result.
